Painting the town red
Red pashminas, scarves, dresses, ties and a symbolic red dress pin were all the rage as CCC delegates celebrated the Heart and Stroke Foundation's The Heart Truth campaign. The campaign raises awareness among Canadian women that heart disease and stroke is their leading cause of death by giving them the tools they need to reduce their risk factors and protect themselves.

Delegates came out in force on wear red day, donating over $8,000 to the campaign - and more importantly, raising awareness about this important issue. The campaign's popular display of red dresses shone a spotlight on the fact that heart disease is a women's issue - encouraging health professionals to turn the tide by becoming Heart Truth champions and to return home to share the truth with colleagues and patients in their communities.
