| We're "greening" the meeting |

In addition to providing 100% on-line registration this year, both the ECG and Final Program use Mixed Sources (stamped by FSC) from well-managed forests, controlled sources and recycled wood or fibre.
The CCC is also taking advantage of the award winning MTCC to further green the meeting through the MTCC's:
- Expanded paper recycling;
- Biodegradable dishware;
- Bullfrog Power from renewable energy resources;
- Green roof;
- Food bank donations; and
- Geothermal heating and cooling systems.

WOMEN IN CARDIAC SCIENCES Monday, October 27, 2008 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm
Dr. Sherryn Levinoff-Roth started the Scarborough Hospital Heart Function clinic, one of the first community heart failure clinics and continues as the clinic's Medical Director. The clinic has been particularly effective in reducing the re-admission rate for heart failure in the community, improving quality of life, and has won a 3M Award for its innovative management. She is involved in research related to congestive heart failure and has served on many Clinical Events Evaluation committees for international heart failure trials.
Dr. Levinoff-Roth serves as a consultant to the Ministry of Health and Long-term care in the Drug and Therapeutics area. She has organized female Cardiologists in the Toronto area into a local network for education and dialogue, and has recently travelled to Guyana with a humanitarian organization working in the rainforest with those who have little or no health care available to them.
Dr. Sherryn Levinoff-Roth is a graduate of the University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons with fellowships in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. She is an Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto, and currently is an Adult Cardiologist at The Scarborough Hospital with a part-time teaching appointment at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
