Paul Armstrong is University Professor, Department of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Alberta, Edmonton. Dr. Armstrong is also Director of the Canadian VIGOUR Centre (Virtual Coordinating Centre for Global Collaborative Cardiovascular Research).

He is an attending cardiologist at the University of Alberta Hospital with particular interests in acute cardiovascular medicine and congestive cardiac failure. He has had a lifelong commitment to the education and training of health care professionals and the conduct of cardiovascular research in pursuit of enhanced patient care.
