Scientific Program

The Canadian Cardiovascular Congress (CCC) is the largest annual cardiovascular learning event in Canada and the “must attend” meeting for cardiovascular specialists and allied health professionals involved in delivering care in Canada. The CCC draws physicians, researchers, trainees, medical students and other cardiovascular professionals from across Canada and around the globe. In addition, CCC includes the active participation of several national allied health professional societies which, together, comprise the multidisciplinary cardiovascular community across Canada. CCC 2008 provides cardiovascular health professionals with the ideal opportunity to exchange ideas and share experiences with their colleagues. The CCC is co-hosted by the Canadian Cardiovascular Society (CCS) and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (HFSC). Click here to read more.

Online Itinerary Builder and Program Planner Now Ready to Use!
This year's Itinerary Builder and Program Planner provides an on-line view to the majority of CCC 2008 content including the CCS Program and Abstracts, CACR Program and Satellite Symposia content. Search and view sessions at the high level, or drill down to the individual presentations. Your selections can be saved into a personalized Itinerary for printing or downloading to your PDA device - a customized program that is easy to use and handy to carry.

Note: While programming can be viewed only by session early on, the details of individual Abstracts will become accessible approximately one week prior to the start of the Congress.

Accreditation
The Canadian Cardiovascular Society's (CCS) Scientific Program at the Canadian Cardiovascular Congress is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC). The CCS is an accredited provider of maintenance certification programs as designated by the RCPSC.

Nurses attending the Canadian Council of Cardiovascular Nurses (CCCN) Scientific Program at the Canadian Cardiovascular Congress may claim it as a continuous learning (CL) activity toward renewal of the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) certification credential if it is related to their nursing specialty. Pre-authorization from the CNA Certification Program is not required. Participants are encouraged to retain a confirmation of attendance.
